Tucker Carlson took Gov. Jerry Brown (D-Calif.) to task this week for flying to China to negotiate a climate change accord on behalf of California. Gov. Brown was so agitated after President Trump withdrew from the Paris climate agreement that he told news outlets, “It’s against the facts. It’s against reality itself … People will die, habitats will be destroyed, the seas will rise, insects will spread.” He left out how the waters would turn to blood, the frogs and locusts would come, the fiery hail would rain down.
Gov. Brown has long held that man is spewing a noxious poison called carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere and that Armageddon is right around the corner. This might be the prevailing wisdom among climate alarmists, but facts don’t back up their outlandish claims about increased sea level rise, storm intensity or frequency, hurricane activity, droughts, or floods. And increased levels of CO2 have caused a “greening” of the planet, as even NASA has recognized in recent satellite mapping.
Gov. Brown and a contingent of roughly 30 business leaders of California’s Bay Area Council flew to China recently for a clean energy conference. Once there, Gov. Brown signed an agreement with the Chinese government in which the two — one a state, one a country — agreed to work on reducing emissions. “The Chinese laughed but Gov. Brown didn’t hear it,” Carlson added. “So, is California its own nation now?”
Carlson doubted the legality of Gov. Brown’s actions, noting he “grew up in California when it was a state” and it was unconstitutional for a state to take on those powers delegated to the federal government. KGO radio’s Ethan Bearman seemed to agree with Carlson on the underlying facts of Brown’s trip. But he emphasized that the agreement signed with President Xi Jinping was non-binding yet still legal. Bergman may be earnest in making such a point. But one has to wonder if he would consider buying a car, for example, after being told it was a “non-binding” sale, but legal?
Bearman portrayed the trip as being one in which California would be exporting its green technology to China. He noted, “California has spent billions of dollars using my money as a taxpayer…To create these industries and grow them into large businesses. Look at Tesla.” Ironically, the U.S. has lost billions of dollars in recent years when China has stolen proprietary technology and refused to comply with patent laws.

As was said once before CALIFORNIA NEEDS A BROWN OUT and on top of his pointed demacratic head
I predict that California, perhaps with some other states, will send representatives to COP 23. For those who may not know the COP meeting are once a year big UN climate meetings. The Paris Agreement came out of COP 21.
Would this be legal? It would no more illegal than Obama signing the Paris Agreement then saying it was legally binding without Senate Ratification, which violates the Constitution.
AMIRLACH is dead on when he says that “Fully half the country wants to go the complete opposite direction as the other half.” Perhaps some states attending COP 23 while other states give climate change the treatment it deserves would be a step toward more independence.
Here is the correct solution. If you want green energy, either install it on your property or buy it from green energy producers through the grid. You pay the full cost, not me. If you can’t afford it, you could still lie to your leftie friends that you do! No need to split countries , no need to start religious crusades. Just mind your own business.
Brown is a fool rapidly running out of runway . Calmexico should separate from the USA .
Life in prison would be too easy for Moonbeam Brown he deserves to be treated as a traitor to america
If a state is allowed to opt into some international climate agreement, all on it’s lonesome, shouldn’t other states be allowed to opt out when they disagree? An interesting precedent.
I fully expect that California will try to secede from the Union in the event Trump wins a second term. Fully half the country wants to go the complete opposite direction as the other half. At some point maybe they should. Canada also has the same diversion of views. I once read that north America was divided the wrong direction.
If one looks at Canada and the USA, they have more in common regionally north to south, than east to west.
I defy anyone and everyone to give
one cogent reason why
Cherry Brown should not be
indicted, arraigned, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced as a
TRAITOR !
I cringe when I hear the line “We get the government we deserve” . I live in Ontario, which shares similar legal status but is more effed-up than California. Even Alberta has tripped out. What did I do to deserve this?
Monbeam Brown is a traitor against america and its future he needs to be arrested, ater being removed from office tried, convicted and lock up for life and even longer a typical liberal demac-RAT MOONBEAM FOR PRISON 2018
