While speaking at a coffee shop in Keokuk, IA, 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke voiced his support for the Green New Deal, echoing socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in saying the world will end in 12 years if nothing is done.
O’Rourke told the group gathered at the coffee shop that he has not “seen anything better that addresses this singular crisis” that he said “could lead to extinction” than the Green New Deal.
“This is the final chance,” the failed Senate candidate from Texas advised. “The scientists are absolutely unanimous on this — that we have no more than 12 years to take incredibly bold action on this crisis. My gratitude to them for the young people who stepped up to offer such a bold proposal to meet such a grave challenge.”
He concluded, ‘”Not to be melodramatic, but the future of the world depends on us right now here where we are. So, yes, let’s find a way to do this.”

Beto O’Rourke couldn’t even get it right when he said Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the world will end in 12 years if nothing is done. What she said was the world would begin to end in 12 years, not that it would end in 12 years.
I have been closely followed this fraud almost since the beginning and there have been many dead lines for saving the world which are now past. We didn’t take the action they wanted and the world is still here.
AO-C was referring to the “tipping point” . I don’t know if she understands the theory.
I’m sure that Albert Gore mentioned it as well.
Supposedly, global warming will take off on its own. Warming will thaw the Arctic and release the CO2 contained by permafrost. That CO2, added to our CO2, well, it’ll be our undoing, unstoppable. We’re way past Gore’s tipping point, now we’re counting down AO-C’s tipping point.

No, scientists are not “absolutely unanimous” that recent climate change is, or would lead to, a crisis. There are numerous highly qualified scientists who contend that the climate is less sensitive to CO2 than alleged by the IPCC.
Remember the Oregon Petition signed by over 30,000 scientists disputing the anthropological climate change narrative. How can there be “absolutely unanimous” with that many people dissenting. The signatures include 9,029 PhD’s and 7,157 with master’s degrees. Also included are 3,805 scientists trained atmospheric, environmental, and Earth sciences.
