Media Climate Alarmism Has Become ‘Primitive’…’Intellectually Subterranean,’ German Scientists Say

Recent SRF German public broadcasting commentary on climate change has reached a new low in quality and a new high in activism, two respected German scientists say.

“Climate-alarm propaganda day”

November 29, 2017, was once again a climate alarm propaganda day on the German public television and radio stations of SRF (Süddeutsche Rundfunk).

Angie Merkel, Clever Hans, Pope Frank, and a Climate-Controlled World

We started writing this article before the German elections in September, which included Angela Merkel for Chancellor. At the end of the article, we gave advice to the German voters.

To paraphrase German “climatologist” Stefan Rahmstorf in his open letter on (which he founded with the rest of the climate Gestapo, Gavin Schmidt, and Michael Mann) to the US voters in the last election, we said, “Dear German voters, don’t make a choice that your children will regret”.

Obama’s Apology Tour Part Deux—Tells France he’s sorry US not leading on climate change

Former President Barack Obama took advantage of a Paris address Saturday to take a veiled dig at his successor, President Donald Trump, telling his audience that “we have a temporary absence of American leadership” on climate change.

Obama was speaking before a group of some 800 French CEOS, celebrities and public officials at an invitation-only conference in France called the Napoleons, where he lamented the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, an agreement he had signed in 2015.

Ted Cruz Will Meet With Trump To Try And Change The Course Of US Energy Policy

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz will soon meet with President Donald Trump and top administration officials to discuss one of the most contentious U.S. energy policies on the books — the biofuel mandate.

Cruz will likely reiterate his opposition to the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), a 2005 law that mandates refiners blend ever-increasing amounts of biofuels into the fuel supply. Cruz and other lawmakers requested the meeting in October.

Financially Strapped Energy Companies Push Hard For $65 Billion To Prop Up Coal

Two of the country’s largest and most financially indebted energy companies are lobbying Congress to enact a massive, decade-long, tax credit for struggling coal producers, according to a report Monday from Axios.

Arch Coal and Peabody Energy, both of whom filed for bankruptcy last year, are joining a coalition pushing Congress to pass a $6 billion a year credit for the coal and the nuclear energy industry that could last 10 years. The credit, if passed, could cost nearly $65 billion over the course of a decade.

Climate Bullies Targeting Female Scientists (asexually, of course)

Michael ‘Hockey Stick’ Mann

Consensus climate scientists have long been personal and damning in their criticism of those who don’t agree with them. They’ve threatened physical violence (Ben Santer: “Next time I see Pat Michaels at a scientific meeting, I’ll be tempted to beat the crap out of him. Very tempted.”). They, of course, use the epithet ‘denier’ specifically to associate opponents with those who deny the Holocaust occurred.

Bioscience article is academic rape: an assertion of power and intimidation

Characterizing a professional, respected scientist as an unqualified vengeful opinion writer is the same kind of power attack as rape. It’s meant to humiliate and intimidate.

I said this as part of a response to a comment at WUWT late yesterday (copied in full below). The picture (right) shows Steven Amstrup holding polar bear cubs against their will — not for any scientific purpose, just for a photo that shows he can.

Also yesterday, Tom Fuller at ClimateScepticism wrote a hard-hitting critique of the Bioscience article that similarly noted the sexist nature of this harassment and the fact that this is the way Michael Mann and his colleagues behave toward female scientists who cross them or their supporters.

Whistle-blower Scientists: PSMSL Data-Adjusters Are Concocting Sea Level Rise Where None Exists

‘Adjustments’ To Create Spurious Sea Level Rise Have Now Infected The PSMSL Tide Gauge Data

In a new paper published in Earth Systems and Environment this month, Australian scientists Dr. Albert Parker and Dr. Clifford Ollier uncover evidence that overseers of the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL) appear to have been engaging in the “highly questionable” and “suspicious” practice of adjusting historical tide gauge data to show recent accelerated sea level rise where no such acceleration (or rise) exists.
