Inhofe Might Try To Crash Paris Climate Talks As ‘One-Man Truth Squad’

InhofeSen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) may travel to Paris in an effort to derail the global climate deal scheduled to be negotiated there in December, The Hill reported Monday.

Inhofe, who chairs the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, openly rejects mainstream climate science. He told The Hill that he may “go over and be the bad guy, the one-man truth squad, and tell the truth, that they’re going to be lied to by the Obama administration.”

The senator may be best known for bringing a snowball—made of real DC snow—onto the Senate floor to try to prove that the threat of global warming is exaggerated. Inhofe also wrote a book about global warming called “The Greatest Hoax.”

As he told The Hill, he has tried “several times before” to publicize his views on climate change on an international stage. In 2009, Inhofe traveled to the international climate conference in Copenhagen, Denmark to spread the message that global warming is a “hoax” and condemn cap-and-trade policies.

Other Republicans, including Rep. Ed Whitfield (R-KY), have suggested that they may send a delegation to Paris to present an opposing view on President Obama’s proposed climate efforts. The administration’s Clean Power Plan promises to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 32 percent from 2005 levels by 2030—a goal that the GOP has deemed unrealistic.

“We may send a group over to Paris, just to let them know that there’s another branch of government, in addition to the executive branch, on these issues,” Whitfield told The Hill.

These efforts to publicly undermine Obama recall a stunt used by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) to disrupt negotiations over the Iran nuclear deal. In March, Cotton and 46 other GOP senators sent a letter to the Iranian government warning that any nuclear agreement struck with the Obama administration would not last past the end of his presidency.

Given the negative economic consequences to the USA of the proposed $$Trillion dollar scam perhaps EVERY politician who sees through what is going on should show up in Paris. They can announce that any checks issued by a President leaving office will bounce having had no approval of elected representatives or by the people who elected them . The sheer arrogance of the scam shows a complete distain for democracy .

I wish that Sen. Inhofe would sue the Obama administration for aiding and abetting a fraud.
When Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme was exposed, he was shut down and charges laid. When Enron was exposed, they were shut down and charges laid.
The Obama admin is spending/spent $billions on a fraud, and SFA happens.
Now, THAT is a travesty. IMO.

It’s great to have Sen. Inhofe around. He’s not afraid to tell the truth despite the lying ranting of Obama, Kerry, and Gore. Oregon-based physicist Gordon Fulks sums it up well: “CO2 is said to be responsible for global warming that is not occurring, for accelerated sea-level rise that is not occurring, for net glacial and sea ice melt that is not occurring . . . and for increasing extreme weather that is not occurring.” A few quotes from warming advocates tell you the real story:
Christiana Figueres, the U.N.’s top climate change official, says that it’s not about the climate. It’s about redistribution of the wealth and the destruction of capitalism.
Papal Advisor Naomi Klein admits in her much-publicized screed that ‘Global Warming’ is all about anti-capitalism and nothing to do with science. All in all, the late Alan Caruba sums it up well… If a foreign nation had launched an attack on America to destroy its coal-fired plants, to shut down its coal mines, and to thwart its ability to drill for oil and natural gas, we would be at war with it.
